Just wondering if anyone has upgraded and what your thoughts are about it?

I am looking at getting a new B2601 and trading in my BX2370. I have 7+ acres and mow about 4 1/2 acres of it with some hills. I've had some clearance issues with my BX and also issues concerning the small bucket size and lack of rear 3 point lift heights. Anyone regret going to a B series from a BX?

I still have my bx:D, but I have used my BIL's B2920 - it is bigger,stronger,faster.....mo better!!!!

I have never heard anyone saying they wished they still had the little smaller tractor - I think you will be very pleased!! ;):)

Fair enough!!! My main concern was mowing with a B vs BX and hills. I think the B wins all other categories in my book.

My B7610 had Rimgaurd in the rears, and it was better at mowing out front than my BX23S. I tossed on 2" spacers that helped alot but having the rears loaded with 330# each is no comparison.

The only disadvantage of the B over the BX is center of gravity......the B is higher (higher clearance which is typically a plus) the BX sits lower, thus a little more stable. BUT if the B is used correctly, spacers added - and weighted correctly, YOU'LL never have a problem.;):)

Traded my bx for b2601 - mows great and more lifting capacity, only disappointment I thought it would be a smoother ride, not so. Eventually will upgrade to a suspension seat.

Good Afternoon,

I did this very upgrade and although the B2601 is a great machine, I wish I would have gone with the B2650. The price difference between the 2601 and the 2650 was less then $2000. The additional lifting capabilities, etc. would have been worth it in my particular use. Do note that I do not have a MMM on mine and use it more as a tractor around our hobby farm.

Either way, the B2601 is a much more capable machine then the BX2370 and will do almost anything you ask of it.

Good Luck!

I've had my B2601 for a little over a month. I was comparing the B2601 (with mmm), B2650, and L2501 (and getting a riding mower for the yard). The price difference between the 01 and 50 was $3000 for me, so that made the B2650 not worth it for me and my particular needs. I enjoy my B2601 and have not needed anymore horsepower but I think I would have been just as happy (if not more so) going down the L2501 road. Jumping two frame sizes and the accompanying weigh increase would help around here.
