Just curious why the prices for Land Pride implements are such a secret? I was looking for the price of an aerator for my BX but it seems like they don't want anyone to know without actually going to a dealer.

Most manufacturers do not give out prices because their dealers have the option of retail discounts for "sales", promotions etc. One dealer may buy in volume and receive discounts they pass on to customers. Manufacturers I have delt with just set a range or give a recommended price and let the dealers go from there. The manufacturer does not own the dealer in most cases and is just a partner in their products.

Kubota has bought Land Pride. My Canadian dealer gave me a catalogue where everything Land pride made is now painted orange.

I have a flat deck Land pride mower FD2572 bought new in 1990.

I needed a blade and the special centering washer and my Kubota dealer got it for me. He had some trouble as the transition to Kubota is far from complete and he had to wait while Kubota put the part numbers in their system.

It does not provide you with pricing but may provide another source of supply and something the same color as your Kubota.

Sorry I know the image is too wide but I was afraid of loosing detail with text being too small to read.

This is news to me!

I was aware that Kubota and Land Pride had a business relationship. but didn't know that Kubota actually bought LP. I like the Land Pride line very much!

Go to your local dealer, they should have complete price lists of all the implements from landpride. The dealer I deal with most had printed sheets with every implement model, specs and prices. Other option is to just call the dealer for the price

They could at least publish an MSRP, then you'll at least know if it's something you're willing to spend more time researching or if you're going to look at something else. With today's electronic environment, people will look look to send their money elsewhere if they can't find the information they're looking for online. They will also pretty much have an idea of what they want to buy, and how much they'll need to spend before ever going to look at it in person. Heck, people are buying vehicles now without ever seeing it in person.

That's one thing John Deere is better at as a manufacturer, you walk in and all there implements are on a big poster with a price. Everytime I ask for a price at my dealer I get a different one. I like my Kubota, but the attitude of not having advertised prices is 1990 style marketing. I don't wanna haggle, tell me the fair price everyone else pays and i'll pay it.

Just go in price is right style and say you'll buy it for $1, or a shiny new nickel! When they look at you be like we'll there is no price. :)

People have become to lazy and scared to talk yo an actual person to get a price. How hard is it to pick the phone up or go to a dealer and get a price quote? If you are solely buying on lowest price, then start out at a place like Tractor Supply and others that carry the cheaper and lower quality implements.

Why spend hours driving and talking when you can have all the info you need at your fingertips in minutes? And if you work 8 to 5 it can be difficult to find the time to make a bunch of phone calls to dealers because they are open the same hours.

I think this is a large part of the popularity of everythingattachments. You go there and see all the data you need and know exactly how much it's going to cost you, at least if you live within the 1,000 mile radius.

The general idea of not making the customer aware of price is to get the customer to come to the store. The idea of a discussion of needs, wants, desires vs. facts and benefits allows the sales staff to direct the customer to the item that meets their needs.

Might be "old school, from the '90's" but many folks make purchases based on cost alone, and later find out they probably should have purchased a different item to get the task done.

Maybe parts availability or service is something the buyer has not considered.

Many do no due diligence before a purchase!
