Thats a huge project. Looking forward to seeing the progress. My direction is a little different. Im hunting down old yard equipment,cushman machines and plan to restore them. Main reason,i can lift amost any part with one hand and push it out of my way when im not working on it.
Hepled a friend with a dodge M37 years ago. Repowered it with a hino diesel a couple years ago.

I was told it is a 1968. Might be a 1976, but that was what was written on the bill of sale. It's an AM General M818. It has the Cummins NHC250 14L/855ci diesel.

The county I live in sold it on ebay....someone bought it and couldn't come and get it, so I grabbed it and picked it up. Their loss.I hate looking at the stuff from GSA,,, there is always something I dont need but would sure be fun to spend money on, or sumthin like that
It turns over and runs, so, now it is replacing what was hacked up or butchered to get it running and making it a quad cab.

My LMTV (base truck to build and Expedition Camper on)
and my camper box to go on back..... based on a 14.5' Ambulance Box off a Freightliner truck.
Diesel motorcycles.... sorta go with the above but that is another thread already in here.

The rears will move forward about two feet...just getting it to where it needs to be.
Yeah, the thing will probably have a turning radius as you described.
