I recently took posession of a new 5660 with a brush hog attached. It doesn'
t seem to lift very high, at least compared to my old '63 Ford4000. I'm not sure if that's all it lifts or is there someway to make it go a little higher by altering the hookup points, etc. I know I could shorten the top link but that would change the angle of the mower which I don't really want to do. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks, Mark

Top holes in the side link clevises and the bottom hole of the top link mount on the tractor will get you maximum lift height.

Also try a different hole in the draft arms and see what that does.

Good luck.

Same problem here with my MX5100. The arms are 4" shorter than the old Fordson. I'm pretty sure that is so they can sell a higher 24" lift capacity.

Thanks for the advice. Will using the bottom hole of the top link mount be ok with a 6' Landpride bushhog? Not sure what it weighs.

Shouldn't be a concern. Should lift the unit about 6" higher just with the different pin location from top-bottom. Actually more with the mower being back so far.
