Hi. I just purchased a x1120D and have a couple questions for anyone with the same unit. With it still under warranty I don't want to do to much to but wondering for the future has anyone done any part swapping, turbos, or chipped their units for more power. I love it, it hauls around the farm and works nice for fencing, but I'd like to make it spicy for when i go camping. Thanks for your inputs.

You might find you're better off picking up a used Polaris rzr or similar of you're looking for more or a play toy.

Did a turbo one one a year or so ago. It still goes 25 mph. But it gets there a lot quicker. The owner was HIGHLY mad (and I mean highly PO'd). He was expecting it to go 40+ and it ain't gonna happen as the engine is still governed to around 3200 RPM. With the transmission gearing, it's only going to go so fast no matter if it's got 1000 hp or 25.

The RTV's are slow, heavy work horses. They're not play toys. Not at all!

I have to agree,if its diesel it will pull a moose all day long and not skip a beat. The ranger diesel is about the same. All grunt. Like a hydroststic, problably isnt a good idea to overpower it.
Belt drives, you sacrifice top end for bottom end and vice-versa.

Agreed. With the hydro trans your not going to gain speed. On the rangers they have two models, a hydro and a CVT. CVT models go almost as fast as the gas versions.

You don't sacrifice anything with belt drives like you said above. You cant lug a CVT, the clutches just holds the lowest gear ratio depending on load then upshifts when load decreases.

I looked over the kubota rtvs when I was looking but for the money and how I would use it I ended up with a Polaris Ranger 900XP. More power than I would ever need plus 60MPH top speed and capacity similar to the kubota.
