I am again searching for the 18 mm 22T splined PTO shaft for the front of my B7100. I use it to run a B748 snow caster. Since I couldn't find the right shaft, I had a machinist add a hollow tube and flange to my current PTO shaft. The tube fits over the splined shaft on the crank and the flange has a bolt pattern that lets me bolt up to the face of the fan belt pulley on the end of the crankshaft. It works, but is more painful to hook up than if I had the correct shaft with the splines that would slide over the end of the crankshaft.
I recently got a manual for the B9320 PTO clutch which lists the 18 mm 22T splined front PTO shaft for the B7100D. The part is listed as "Shaft - PTO (w/18 mm X 22T splines)" which is still available. My concern is that it only recommends this kit for the tractors with s/n 68262 (late 1980) and newer. The older models are supposed to use the B9310. My tractor serial number is 64186 and is listed as a 1979 on tractordata.com. If I can confirm the distance from the front fan belt pulley to the rear of the front bumper (or frame mount for the PTO) didn't change after s/n 68262, I think I will take the risk and order the shaft. My measurement is approximately 10-3/8 inches which makes my total shaft length 14.5 inches long. I know it may be a pain, but if someone with a newer B7100D (s/n after 68262) could get me their measurement, I would appreciate it very much.
