B1750 HSTD transmission problem.

My B1750 all of a sudden started driving backwards. If I push the pedal forward it goes in reverse. If I push pedal in reverse it goes forward. All linkages look fine nothing lose.

This may sound stupid, but the only thing I can think is ( because you didnt mention anything about hoses or any maintenance done ) your engine spinning reverse, hydraulic pump spinning wrong.

Ive seen an Osh Kosh run backwards and it was hysterical. Id imagine the hydraulic pump can only pump one way, let alone soft suction hoses and non pressure rated fittings that would blow it that were the case?

Oh we are the bearer of joyful news! :eek:

That does make more sense than the engine running backwards! :(

I'd say something broke as it was doing fine I loaded it on trailer to go and mow my son's yard and I got on to unload it when push pedal to back off it took off forward.

I have a B6100 at the shop doing the same thing, still waiting for the customer to OK the tear down to confirm failure.
