Horn for a BX 24????

As a new member to this site I am not sure where to post and ask this question.

I have a BX 24 and the light assembly switch appears to have a center horn button. As we all know the BX 24 dosn't have a horn. How can I install a horn and make it look factory. I do not need train horns However I do want it to be able to get someones attention.

Last day's wildfire has changed his horn on his new 5740. But you should look for the original setup as he has also shown on one picture. Just in front of the cooler.

But if you have allready taken some from a train, you can try to place them on the hood:

My B1-15 (B1502DT) has a tiny little small horn. Original. On my old Gutbrodt tractor I replaced it with a normal horn for a car.

Horns typically are powered thru a relay switch,This is done because horns and other large current draw devices require heavier gauge wiring than could be incorporated into a small horn button switch. That is the center button on your light switch would actually control a relay that sent power to the horn and not a direct wire to the horn itself, Using that switch to directly power a horn may result in melted or burnt wires or damage to the switch itself. If you can find a wiring diagram for your particular model it may show whether or not a relay is present in your current system or if it was optional where the wiring for this would be.

Yeah, use the horn as an extra propulsion for the tractor. When I am in China you hear them all around, they believe without the "Honk Honk" their car won't move! And guess what, nobody react to a horn except pedestrian, every motorist is hunting that game...

They make a helluva racket, you cant tell the difference but they sound 110% like train horns.

On my first trip through North America we also drove through Canada. And one evening we camped somewhere in the Big Forest next to a train-crossing, where the timber was waiting for transportation.
We fall asleep. In the middle of the night we were attacked be a sound that was going right through your bones, the ground was vibrating and shaking. I have had never so much fear and adrenalin in the blood like in that moment of my life. Our mind was in a survival mode but nothing to see where the danger came from, it was just everywhere. We were on our hands and feets, believing that we accidently camped right on the railway. And when the sound of the train changed because it was just passing and not coming towards us, we realized what just has happend. That was a moment you can feel the life in your vein's...
I don't like those horn's in the middle of the night!

I have got to tell ya my wife thought I was having a heart attack. I was laughing so hard and was having a hard time breathing. Even the mention of camping on a railroad starts me laughing again
