Hey everyone, I'm looking into selling my 18' bumper pull and getting a gooseneck trailer to haul my tractor and equipment among other things. I need some opinion's with what I'm trying to do.
I want to haul my L3800 4WD with loader and my dads L3650 2WD NO loader both with implements. Measured everything out yesterday and I would need right at 28'-30' of deck space but I am unsure of the weight.

Looking at regular flat deck overs and 5' dovetail models. IE, 30+5

Short of me finding a place that could weigh them and making two trips can anyone give me an educated guess on what weight trailer I need. I might be pushing it with a 14K or even 16K depending on how heavy the trailer is but I don't want a dual tandem trailer if I don't need it. Thanks

I have a 2015 Ram 2500 4x4 with a diesel, 24' 5th wheel trailer. I haul a L3560 with loader and boxblade. I'm grossing 19,000 lbs.

All you can do is hop on the interweb and start looking up spec's for the tractors, loaders and heaviest two implements. Then add the weight of fuel, ballast and chains. If you have to estimate on anything, lean towards a higher number. Nice to have a little extra deck space and load capacity.

Are you looking to haul both at the same time with implements?

Your looking at about 6500lbs in tractors, add lets say 1500 for implements, average 7000lbs for the trailer and your at 15k.

Yeah I plan on weighing both tractors one of my next off days. Was just wondering if anyone has went through this before, even with a single tractor I would just double the weight.
Any basic gooseneck options I should be looking for?

Take a look at Sure Trac Trailers. I purchased one for shop use which runs about 30K - 40K miles per year hauling 8-12K Lbs per trip. For our use I like the thicker side rail as this holds up better when fork trucks constantly bump when loading and also gives you additional beef for ratchet straps. Not saying you need this for your application. I just have been impressed with how this trailer has been holding up compared to other models we have used. Hardwood decks require maintenance, not a lot but you need to keep the wood from drying out. Metal surface decks will be extremely slippery in snow. Just a couple things to think about.

Pay attention to the bed rail height and the 'neck' assembly of the trailer. There are a lot of older trailers I can hook to but the first off camber turn and the bed rail would crumple.

This is my 24' trailer. I have a 5th wheel hook up instead of a gooseneck. The trailer was made by Rolls Rite. Www.rollsrite.com
