My wife and I own a 65 acre tree farm. Our L2501 is set up like yours and it has made life much easier. There is always something to use the tractor for. I have not found it under powered at all.
Damn their pretty when their new. Congrats and enjoy.Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I've read a lot of reviews before purchasing and wound up with a new L2501HST with FEL, ssqa bucket and 6' finishing mower.g or the package for 21,900 with 0***8453; for 84 months. I thought long and hard about the 3301 and the 3901 but just couldn't do the emissions on them. Wanted a simple tractor.
I'll be using it to keep about 4 acres mowed, and for maintaining about 27 acres of forest. So far I'm happy with the tractor. Now I can't wait for it to dry up some so I can take it back in the woods.
Could I ask a favor of you L2501 owners? Could someone please measure the height of the folded ROPS. I can’t find that measurement anywhere. Thanks! My new L2501 is on order and I want to see if it will fit in my utility trailer.
I'm curious as to why you are running 30 PSI in your rear tires? Not being a wise guy, just curious.Hey TwoKowner- I measured my L2501 with the ROPS down just now and get about 73 1/2" with 30 psi in the rear tires - when I took delivery It just slipped under the carport beam with the ROPS up at I think around 92"...

Can’t thank You enough! I was pretty sure it wasn’t going to fit in my enclosed utility trailer. 68” door height :-(Hey TwoKowner- I measured my L2501 with the ROPS down just now and get about 73 1/2" with 30 psi in the rear tires - when I took delivery It just slipped under the carport beam with the ROPS up at I think around 92"...
Thanks. Wow, that's a lot of air.Just what the manual calls for for my 15 x 19.5 R4 tires. My old Super C used to run with 12 psi in the rears
I wonder if the ride and traction would be better if I let them get down to 25 psi or so. Most of the work is with the 5 ft brush hog on back and they spin out easy if the skids drag a little on high spots.... When the dealer delivered it it had 40 psi in the fronts and 30 in the rears, I guess for the loader work? I now have 35 psi in the fronts and seems good if maybe a little bouncy.Thanks. Most definitely. I run about 14 in the rears of my B2650 with the hoe or unloaded (about 30 psi in fronts). With your 6 ply's, I wouldn't be worried at all running them much lower in the rear. Check to see if you are making ground contact (on hard surface) all the way across your tread bar. That's really what you want to see.I wonder if the ride and traction would be better if I let them get down to 25 psi or so.
