Steering went limp tonight. Took it all apart and found hte issue. Problem is, the diagram on the kubota site is not what my steering looks like! Can anyone help? i need replacement parts.

This piece goes into the steering shaft which turns and moves the square block up and down. I think it's #8 on the list but the parts list doesn't even list a part number for it.

Tractor is a b8200 HST 4wd.

Thanks for the link and info. The one on ebay, though, it doesn't include the bearing, so you'd have to take it apart to put the bearing on?

I managed to weld mine back together. Not sure how long it will hold but it's only taking vertical stress so hopefully it will work. I debated welding them together, but it was close to the bearing, and I didn't want to damage that. Also I didn't want to do anything to permanent until I got more info.

Of course there's 6" of snow on the ground now too, so I had to get my other tractor out and ready, so I didn't have much time to mess with it last night. So much for final preparations.

Yes you would have to remove the roll pin to install the bearing. ;)

I wish you luck on your weld, normally not much success is had with welding a hardened part and having it hold up.

Get a new one soon as the chips and pits in the screw section and the bearing races will lead to it's downfall at an accelerated rate.

I didn't put it back together right, the screw part slid right into the block. For the price of the rod I can get a whole new assembly for a hundred more, so I may do that.

Make sure the assembly is for the B8200 HST and not the B8200 D as they have 2 different steering boxes for that model, and they are not interchangeable. ;)
