What kind of rectifier is this? To my knowledge, very few tractors would have an actual "rectifier" (unless part of an alternator). A rectifier is like a diode, controlling current flow in one direction only. Best to explain a bit better what this rectifier is, where it is located (or how it is used) in your equipment.
An actual rectifier cannot be repaired, they are solid state devices and must be replaced.

Post a picture of it if you can, that helps a lot. If there are any part numbers on it, post them - there may be substitutes available.

If I am not mistaken - your B6000 does not have a alternator - it has a dyno - might be wrong, but if it does - can you verify it is putting out a AC voltage? Find the two leads - hook up your volt meter on AC and see if you get anything in the 20+ volt range. So you might need to replace the regulator/rectifier as you seem to think if you get a strong AC voltage.

Have you done a dc reading on your battery? Off and running at 1/2 wot?

strong battery will be close to 12.7 volts - charging battery should be in the 14.4 range at 1/2- 3/4 throttle

thanks evey one for the great replys. i have just go it a a short time ago and it's stored in my garage at this point. i havn't had time to play a lot with it!
i have an other kubota GR2110 with a blower on it. ill get serious with the B6000 in the spring. for now im learning and collecting info for then and will purchase parts ahead of time. you are correct on the dyno not a generator!
thanks jim
