Shane, Have you got this out yet?

I just bought the front tires, and was hoping to still be able to use a 29x12.50 in the back. I was wondering if there was any binding or anything.

I drove it around a little yesterday and didn't notice any "binding". Keep in mind I really don't know what binding looks, sounds or feels like. Tractor drives the same as it did before.

Wolfman,
did you find the rolling circumference of the 20x800-10's to figure out that they were the same? The RC of the Bridgestone PD turf tire as well as the 21x800-10 Firestone Turf & Field that both came on several brands of tractors besides Kubota's have an RC of 61 inches. Nothing in the Carlisle line except for one 10 inch diameter rim comes close enough except for the
20.5-8-10 Carlsisle USA Trail in load range C at 35lbs of air pressure. That's
within .25 inch nearly exact and well within tolerance. This is exactly what I've discovered by mounting multiple tires that are close, putting them back
on the tractor and physically measuring the RC to be positively correct.

I'm not being a smart ass mind you because I certainly respect your knowledge and opinion, just wanting to make sure for who's asking along with adding in to my personal knowledge basis for me every day making a living selling tires figuring out what works correctly for conversions. In the last couple of days I've spent way to much time trying to convert a Ford compact tractor from Ag lugs to turf and because the customer is trying to use a certain brand on the rear I'm coming in with NOTHING yet that will work on the front. If he'd change that rear brand would be golden I figured that combo out in under 3 minutes from my stack of notes I keep stuck in the front of my well worn tire data book I use often.

tiredguy,

I did find the RC values for both of those tires, and the RC was within 2% if I remember right, I didn't keep the notes.

Ive did the math too, it seems he is more then okay with those two tires. To run those fronts on a b7100 you have to downsize the rears.

Could you please state which tires and size you went with . I have a B7100hst also which currently has turf tires. Can these wheels work with the R1 tires ? Just making sure before I order them.

Ok so after reading this whole forum and almost pulling the trigger on tires listed I reached the conclusion that no one has posted a tire combo that work on the original factory rims of a B7100. Is this correct, or did I miss something? If you have found the correct tire combo for use with factory rims would you be so kind as to post it and if possible post it with links to the tires you bought.

Thank you

Dylan

b7100hstlife,
What tire combination are you wanting?
There are several different options for tires for the B7100HST's.

Hi Dylan,
If you have a B7100hst with turf rims and want Ag or bar style tires I can vouch for the solution Dunk and Hodge found - Kenda k378 fronts in 20x8x10 paired with 29x12.5x15 rears. This keeps the sizes stock and the ratio is correct. I was worried about the fronts as the stock was 20.5 but these work great with no binding or shifting problems.

Hi all

Im new to this site but after some help from people with knowledge greater then mine, I currently have ag tyres and want to put turf tyres on my B7100, I have just purchaced a 29-12.50x15 Carlisle Multi Trac and Bridgestone 20.5-8x10 Pillow Turfs.
The spec i found online says by ag tyre size in brackets (4x4) this is not beside the turf tyre size does this mean that the tractor can not use 4x4 with turfs? The rear turf tyres (29-12.50.15) are very close in height to original ag's but ft turfs are way smaller then original ag's so surly the gearing between the 2 would be miles different, There may be math involved but using my eyes i can not see how it could work.....I can post a pick of tyres next to each other if need be.

Hope someone can help me here as i don't want to damage any of my drive train.

Thanks Nick

I think you need to re verify the side walls of each tire:

You say you got 29-12.50 x 15 where you needed 29-12.00-15 and yes .5 can make a huge difference is RC.

And you say you got 20.5-8x10's where Bridgestone say's they only make that style tire in a 20-8 x 10, again .5 makes a huge difference in RC.

What size rims do you have? AFAIK, the B7100 came with either of two choices: Ag tires on 12" diameter front rims and 16" diameter rear rims.

OR

Turf tires on 10" diameter front rims and 15" diameter rear rims.

It sounds like you bought tires to fit turf rims, but you have Ag tires -- did some previous owner fit Ag tires to the original Turf rims, or do you have the wrong size rims for your new tires?
