M8200 flywheel

I had my flywheel surfaced and the machine shop cut it flat it is a stepped flywheel i need the specs to recut the step if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated my tractir is a m8200 narrow with cab

First off, your machine shop should have their hand slapped! They should have measured the step distance before hand. Any ways you need to call your dealer to see if they may have the measurement for it, in the service manual. Or they may have to call Kubota technical for that measurement.

IIRC, the service manuals don't give that information. Actually Kubota in general doesn't recommend resurfacing flywheels. So, you're best bet is to call a good dealer that you trust, and ask them to contact the technical service center. The TSC may have to contact engineering and perhaps they'll still have that information on file. Don't hold your breath though....manufacturers are only required to support their product for 5 years.

Agreed, that Kubota engineering has been little or no help when it comes to prints! As far as the new equipment set up and service manuals are concerned; somethings get lost in the translation from Japaneese into English.

Our dealership has never had any real issues with our machine shop resurfacing flywheels. I have an outside source that we have re-mans shipped in water pumps, clutches and have had some hiccups in the past, but they always made it right. But they have the step listed on their website depending on the diameter of the disc.

The disc 1s 10 7/8 "dia and 3/8" thick I bought all the parts from the dealer and had them double check the numbers

According to AG parts the 11" has 1/4" step.

Thank you Pat for your help I am going to save this Ag Parts site for furture reference. I am going to the machine shop to have the step cut in at .025" I will post the outcome
