Any one have one? What manufacturer, and part number?

Need to remove an injector in an L3250. Got the clamp unbolted, but there has to be a better way then a pry bar! Thanks.

Daren, I saw that tool. It include a slide hammer. Do I just need the piece they show on the end, and attach that to a slide hammer?

How does that hook under the injector? Have you used one like that?

No, I haven't used one myself. But it looks like you just hook it, or tap it under the injector and give it a yank. On my slide hammer, it came with an assortment of of hooks used to remove bearings and races. Looks like that tool could be made out of one of those hooks using a die grinder and cut off wheel fairly easy.

You could always try Harbour freight for one of those hooks.

On this one, it would be a matter of opening up one side with the die grinder. And then tacking where it pivots to make it solid.

The only thing is you would need to pull strait over the center of the injector with a slide hammer, because any side pull on a pencil injector ruins them and possibly bend them to the point that they would be very difficult to remove at all. ;)

How true. But then policy at work is to replace injectors with new. No rebuilding injectors. So that habit tends to follow me home as well. I always hooked them with a couple crows feet and pop them out. Then remove the washer with pick on my JD engines.

Coworker at another location suggested making up an adapter to screw onto the end of the injector and use a slide hammer when I was fighting to get some deutz injectors out. Course that suggestion was after I finally got them out

I'm trying to get this injector out with the least amount of disassembly. I ordered the new injector so I can get some dimensions. Then I will come up with a "bone pile" fabricated tool.

I've been dripping some acetone/ATF solution on it for two days. I was able to rotate (both directions) the injector a little yesterday, but I just soaked it some more.

That OTC tool #7121 must be a good one. The OTC #7117 has the same end. They're sold by many suppliers. Amazon has one for $108.34 and the price goes up from there. Probably very well worth it, but I'm stubborn!
