1984 B6200 charge light stays on. Would appreciate some troubleshooting tips to determine if the dynamo is working properly and if the voltage regulator is working.
the 20 volts, (mine was a little higher) IS an AC voltage, so the 20 is on both at the same time, like you have 120v in your outlet at your house. The 20v is bouncing back and forth, so both need to be in the circuit to get the 20v. To get techinical, it is 20 volts rms. (route mean square) but that stuff gets deeeeep!Testing at dynamo, would each wire be putting out 20 volts ac?just curious.
If you isolate and check the dynamo's output, it is between the 2 wires, they are not grounded at this point.Testing at dynamo, would each wire be putting out 20 volts ac?just curious.
