Another newbie question

Kubota L 2050. I just read the manual I downloaded and still don't understand...does the transmission fluid run the hydraulics (3 point hitch) as well? Nowhere in the manual does it ever mention adding hydraulic fluid. Is this correct? Thanks!

Yes the transmission and rear end is the hydraulic sump (tank), on that tractor UDT or UDT compliant Hydraulic fluid is what you use.

UDT is a Kubota acronym for their Universal Transmission hydraulic fluid specs.
Do not confuse that with cheap universal hydraulic fluid as the two do not match up.

There are a lot of generic fluids that list that they are Kubota UDT compatible just look on the labels.

I use Mystik JT-5 for my hydraulic fluid.

As wolfman said - oils aint oils........
filters AINT filters either......
get you a genuine kubota filter if possible, or wix or baldwin.......but DO NOT get the one that sounds like "CRAM" .......but starts with an F .......F as in FAILURE, as in - you really wished you had NOT SAVED those 3 bucks to buy.

Haha i will surely remember that now! Here is the long version.... this is first tractor i have ever owned and have only owned it for a month or so. When i raise the cutter some days it is completely level and others the right side is about 4" lower than the right. I have adjusted the turnbuckle and the same thing happens after a few days. i am about to add fluid because I cant see any in sight glass( trying to start simple and cheap). If the same problem occurs, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!!! Adding fluid made no difference. Still cannot see fluid level in sight glass ( it is yellow and scratched) but fluid is a few inches from where you add it. Too Much?
