Hello out there in orange tractor land. I am a new member today. I have a problem with the hydraulics on my BX 25, whenever i use the bucket lever the pump has an awfull whining sound . It doesnt seem to have the lifting compacity it use to have, vertualy none. When i open the cap on the filler the fluid is very foamy. I would greatly appreciate any help with thi problem

I'm no Kubota expert, but I do know that foam = oil + air; hydraulic pumps don't like air and will whine about it; and finally, that hydraulic systems can't build pressure when full of air.

The first thing I would do is check the level of fluid in the reservoir and top it up if necessary. You may have to wait until the bubbles settle out before you can get an accurate level.

Having the same model, I am wondering whether the hydraulic fluid level is at spec (as suggested by the former respondent) or if the pump is starving for fluid due a plugged screen or dirty filter. You haven't indicated whether routine maintenance has been done nor the hours on the machine. Either might offer a significant tip. Chuck

How many hours on your machine? IF not many, nor machine more than 2 years old, call the dealership.

IF out of the two year period - have you changed the filters? And cleaned the screen as others have said? What is level on dipstick?

It does sound like air has gotten into the system - check all connections, shut off machine - move stick around in all directions, and remove one by one each of the four colored connections up front, then after that, remove the rear and reconnect them all.

Start tractor and allow to run for a while - see if any of that makes any difference - report back.
