L4310 HST Contaminated oil?

Hi, everybody. New guy to the forum here.

I have a question about the oil in my L4310 HST. My tractor has a remote hydraulic connection on it.

I run aftermarket UDT in my tractor. We've been using my tractor on my neighbor's farm and we may have made a mistake.
We were running their hay rake with hydraulic arms on it. We didn't even think about it beforehand but afterwards I realized that we may have contaminated the oil in my tractor.

They are running Super S Super Trac 303 hydraulic oil.
The can says it is ok for Kubota.

Should I be worried about it or should I drain and replace my oil?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Well, you now have a blend of the two fluids. If both of them had similar, appropriate specs, it probably wouldn't make much difference. However the "Super S SuperTrac 303 Product Information Sheet states:

"Misapplication may cause severe performance problems. 303 Tractor Hydraulic Fluid has not been recommended by any OEM for model years later than 1974. For equipment built after 1974 requiring multi-functional fluid, use Super S Premium Universal Tractor Hydraulic Fluid (J20C)."

That would suggest it's not appropriate for the L4310 hydraulic system and particularly the HST. If it were my tractor, I'd change the blended fluid and install the right product.

Yup. I found the spec sheet on their website after I posted this thread.

Looks like I'm doing an oil & filter change.

Thanks for your help.

The amount of fluid that you exchanged is very slight.

Just wait until it's due for service then change it. ;)
