I don't know if this is a covered topic or not. I am new to this forum.
I have had my Kubota L3901 for a year now and one thing that erks me and I cant find an answer to concerns the lever stop for the 3pt height adjustment. If you tighten it by hand it is not tight enough, so you have to use a wrench to tighten and loosen it. So before I go and make one is there any one out there that makes an improved version of this simple nut, bolt stop?

What type of nut do you have, mine is a knob, other non Kubota tractors have wing nuts.

If you go to your local hardware you can get a black plastic knob that is the shape of a wingnut. I don't remember the metric size of the threads on you knob but a good hardware will have metric and standard. I have a 3301 and that was the same problem I had had. I have another one here off a White Tractor that has a stud in the lower piece and a wing nut screws on top of it

You might have a little better luck using a star washer over a lock washer, they have more biting surfaces.
you can use several stacked if it feels like they are bottoming out before biting.

You might try no lock washers but use a Belleville washer. They are dished washers that act like a spring and will hold tension on the fastener.

Okay I tried the star washer and had limited success so I had a wild hair and looked for a cam lever. found one put it on and it works great! easy to use, lift up and move, press down and lock. found it at Granger and you can get it with external or internal threads. Threads are M6 on the existing bolt so i used every thing that was there and just swapped the knob for the cam lever.

Thanks you very much for your find - It seems perfect. I was going thru the same frustrations.
Found it on Grangers site but they want $10.48 to ship to NH.

You should be able to find a wider range of options at McMaster Carr for a LOT less. There are also small widget companies like "Essentra" that provide a lot of this type stuff that is very handy for home shop fab type work. Grainger is one of those stores that is the LAST place I'll look for something...

This is how I dealt with mine last year when the OEM plastic knob
broke...adjustable lever bolt. They are about $5 at various places like MSC
direct and McMaster Carr. I have used them for years on tractors and mowers for things that regularly need removed or adjusted. No tools needed.

That cam lever sure looks nice...I had never seen them before. Will have to try them out. Thanks for sharing.
