I had talked to my neighbor and he told me that if I change my injectors I can get more HP out of my tractor.
Is that true?
I have a 32 HP now...if it was easy and cost effective it may be something that I'm interested in.

You might, but fuel is only half of it. How are you going to supply more air to burn the extra fuel? Just a thought. I don't know a lot about these little motors yet so I could be wrong.

Your neighbor has been reading the wrong magazine!

If it was that simple don't you think it would be all over YouTube, and every diesel forum?

Is your neighbor a moonshiner or smoking funny cigarettes? :D

No, no where that simple, you also can't "turn up the fuel".

Besides all that, more HP is only useful if you can use it, so bigger tires with more traction, more weight, more gears, more, more, more, :p

If you want or need more HP, get a bigger tractor! ;)

I see people try it all the time. Bout the only thing they accomplished was cleaning the skeeters out of the shop for me and a $2,000 bill to get the injection pump service in Little Rock to put the pump back into specs.

Seen a 35kw generator that someone did that too. Managed to turn the IP up 300 percent and got it to start. Motor ran away, and fogged out half the neighborhood. Work could not be conducted in the shop or office. Took 3 hours to get them aired out enough to where you could enter the building. Voided the warranty on a $15,000 motor, and caused $4,000 in damages. Yup, he got his walking papers the next morning.

If my reading over the years sunk into my brain correctly, it's not as much an injector change as it is a turning up of the IP. A search can find how to turn it up. Often a diesel already is being fed more air than it needs anyway. Never think like a Petrol/Gas engine. Diesel's are altogether different... Buttt... it's a tractor and turning it up is not much of a help in the long run. A truck driving long distance, pulling up hills where you would not like to loose as much MPH is something altogether different.

Turning up a tractor; so you reach the desired RPM for using the implement a few seconds faster.... "so what".. this 2-5 seconds is pretty insignificant when it comes to tractor-ing.
So you bog down a less if you're pushing it harder than you should..... well you shouldn't be "pushing it harder" than you should. Again it is not a truck.. Your gambling on putting an improper load on way more than just the tractor but also on all the implements. Each implement is designed for the tractor's HP range. End result is you start wearing implement parts out faster thus increasing how often your doing maintenance on tractor and implements. Any perceived time saved is actually increase in work time when you look at it that way cause the end result is you've made yourself more work not less.

Spend money to burn more fuel and very little power gain seems like someting the neighbor kid does with his overpriced diesel truck. Then very expensive parts fail for no aparrent reason.

Most Kubota's will last 30+ years without the engine being touched, assuming normal maintenance is performed. Start adding turbos, cranking advance or IP, etc and you're starting to shorten that life. Is it worth it?
Generally not. Just sell your machine which is still worth a good buck and buy the size you need. Often upsizing is not a ton more money, unless you're going from a gear B tractor to a super deluxe cab M model...

I went from my 22.5hp B9200 to a 38hp L3710 for literally $300.....

Does your neighbor own a 6.0 Ford?
Lol, no. My best friend's future son in law couldnt stop tweaking his gmc until it self-destructed. Then took it to a supreme tweaker who in turn made it virtually worthless.

I spent a year in a ford dealership in the next bay to a highly skilled diesel tech. I was in awe watching him pull off miracles daily.
Best advice he had was no power mods and drive that 6.0 like you stole it. These diesels need to work.

Where would you use the added HP?

If you can spin your tires now, you have more HP than you can use for pulling. Add weight instead, or you will just spin the tires faster.

The only thing I would consider doing it for would be for a larger PTO implement.

But I would much prefer a larger engine (tractor) working as it was designed.
