I spent the day brush hogging and pulling some overgrowth. The MX4800 made easy work of this. I pulled some cedar trees that were about 25-30' tall. Here is a video of me pulling a few small trees.https://youtu.be/9uRkSj4FkGQ
You do have to get a feel for it. It is capable of crushing trees, t-post, or whatever, to the point of cutting them. It is strong enough I have had to weld it up a few times. I even eventually beefed it up because it kept breaking.Awesome!
Does it take any "feel" when closing the jaws? Seems like it would be easy to just bite right through the trunks- or is the pressure set low enough so that is not a problem?
I have never found the exact same one. I bought mine used. They are actually for skid steers, but work great on a tractor too. Here is the closest thing to the one I have. http://m.ebay.com/itm/TREE-POST-PUL...-ATTACH-SHIPPING-199-/251624780135?nav=SEARCHWhere can I find one. I'm presently using a chain.
That is a tree sheer. Mine is a puller. Also that one does not have much reach, so working with evergreens would be no fun due to all of the lower branches.
Mine works great and was only $400. I just had to do a little fabrication to make it stronger. I have built quite a few of my own implements too.sorry I was rushed posting it. same basic setup, just use thick broad vs sharp thin. was simply showing this is something they have. considering everything attachments makes their own attachments....might be worth sending to them to see if they can make a slightly better/stronger design.
