I am close to being ready to re-start my L1500 after a 7 month rebuild / restoration.

I have...
Filled with engine oil
Filled with antifreeze
Connected all wiring (except head and tail lights)

Do I need to...
Fill the trans / rear end with oil (hydraulic pump) ?
Bleed or "burp" the cooling system ?
Bleed the fuel system ? (correct procedure for this model) ?

I am not ready to drive it. just a test firing to see if anything is off.
Still need to fix front axle seal leak.

Let me know if I am missing anything.

You will want to fill the tranny with fluid. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to run the hydraulic pump dry.

When I filled the coolant after doing the cam shaft plug replacement, I left the coolant line unhooked from the block and used that as a fill point for the block. Once I got coolant to the top of the block. I hooked the line up and topped up the radiator.

As far as bleeding the fuel system. Leave the fuel filter loose. Turn the fuel on, and let the fuel fill up the fuel filter.

Tighten fuel filter, then open bleeder on injection pump. Leave open till fuel flows freely then close.

Then crack injection lines at the injectors. Pull the decompression knob, and crank over till you get good fuel spurts from the injectors. As one starts spurting good, tighten that injection line up.

Then start the old gal up!!! :D:D

Great, sounds like my pretty clean engine, will need a cleaning after this

Small price to pay I guess ;)

Thanks for the tips.
