I am going to repaint my Land Pride FDR1672 bright orange because it needs it and to match my B2650. Checked at the dealer yesterday and a gallon of bright orange was over a $120.00. Hate to spend that to paint implements. Has anybody found a good color match and an acceptable substitute for the Kubota bright orange in the gallon size to use in HVLP gun?

I ordered a six-pack of Rustoleum Lobster Red from Home Depot. Its a dead-on match and much easier.

The attached are pics of my L3250 which has a gallon of Kubota's hundred-dollar enamel - with several areas touched up or done entirely with Rustoleum Lobster Red rattle cans. Can't tell where one starts and the other ends.

rbargeron. Thanks for the reply. Just to verify that we are talking about the new bright orange and not the older orange. Thanks again.

I have found the perfect match for the newer Kubota Orange paint, and to see it on my just-built cab, check out my photos in the Fabrication section,
It is Rustoleum Industrial Finishes -International Orange A gallon cost me $59.00 plus taxes (Canadian)
It is brushable, or dilute by 20% with Acetone or good thinner and spray.

Yes, lobster red matches the newer Kubota bright orange. Attached picture is my L345 (old orange) with a newer LA450 loader (new orange) showing the difference.

I have tried about all of it, painting stabilizers- including the Rustoleum Safety Orange. Nothing matches as well as the Kubota brand paint, and the Maier (is that the brand name?) Kubota orange paint that is carried at Tractor Supply.

I will have to check out the Lobster Red. Aside from that, Rustoleum Chevrolet Orange engine paint has been acceptable, and it applies easy.

Looks like BT paint is only in CA. I've been using Chevy Engine Orange. Close, but not quite right. I need to try that HD paint.

I've used the TSC paint and when first applied it's a perfect match. After some time in the sun it changes to a red/pink color and looks like crap. The Kubota paint from the dealer is worth the extra dollars in the long run IMHO.

Valspar, New Kubota Orange. Available in both spray cans and quarts- gallons.

I gave up on Kubota spray cans, over 1/2 of the spray cans were bad and it's a 90 minute drive there and back. Actually had 1 nozzle grenade in my hand, that was a huge mess and the final straw for me and Kubota paint.

Valspar is good paint. Too bad Fleet Farm stopped carrying it. I think I read that Lowes carries it though. I will have to look...

Boy, it sure is great to see you back here on this site.

Thanks David. I try and get back when I can but there's so much going on with the video thing, social media, work and life it's self there's hardly enough time to complete anything including being on the forums. I'm trying though but I'm afraid in failing miserably at it ;)
Hope all is well on your end.
