What brand disc mower are you running

I have a 75 pto hp tractor and am looking to get a 3 point hitch disc mower. Are the NH that hard to hook up?
I have read that Krone are very well built but if something breaks the broken pcs float around in the oil bath and can ruin other parts in the process.

Check out this link. I have a Vicon. It's an older model that I had to do some serious fab work to get right because the previous owner removed the restrictor plate in the hyd. line. The slamming down of the unit cause the problem.

But the mower is excellent. (Some folks remove the restrictor so they can go faster... the cutter bar slams to the ground.)

I checked out the page and noticed many people like the Vicon. I have the info on Kubota's mowers. I'll have to check one out. The dm1022 is $9k.
I'll go look at the Krone today.

All depends on how many acres you cut, how much money you want to spend, how handy you are with mechanical fixes....

Some people do not like buying used ANYTHING. They think they are buying someone else's problem. So all the above requirements fit into the solution.

You CAN find good used equipment.

Welcome to the forum. Google Drum mower, less moving parts, same type of cut. I Got mine from Carter and carter in TN, they split up, google the hay doctor, he posts on various forums, from time to time. Been using mine for about 8-10 years, cheaper than a disc mower, and other than blades, and a PTO shaft that I boogered up, I haven't put a thing into it parts-wise...

I've got a Kuhn GMD700 and other than normal wear parts it's been perfect. I'm not sure how old it is, I bought it used 13 years ago.

Just curious, have you looked at a Vermeer?

Their blade change system is the easiest I've ever seen and I believe each disc drive is a individual unit for easy repair.

In my area of Maine the dealers have Kuhn,Kubota,JD,and NH. But I have read many good reviews on the Vermeer mowers.
They are probably all good if you don't hit a stick or rock.

Good choice! I went for the Kubota back in 2014 when they first came out.
It cuts great but the lift mechanism had issues and still does only in a different place now. Also, the cutterbar is rusting away at an alarming rate. Compared to my lawnmower which is 7 years old and has almost no rust on the deck this thing might not make it 2 more years. Kubota is telling me normal wear and tear. Quality steel should have surface rust but not chunks coming off. My 1960s model NH rake has surface rust all over but is not falling apart.

I bought a NH h6730. It is a 3 point hitch model. I had it delivered yesterday and the salesman is coming back tomorrow with the pto shaft cut to the correct length. Grass is just turning
green here in Maine.
I'll keep my mower conditioner. With the mower conditioner my clippings will be kinked and dry quicker. But in thick grass I have to run slow and at times my rolls fill up and clog ( a real pita).
With the disc mower I'm looking forward to a new experience, having fun cutting the field.
I know nothing is as easy as you think it will be.

What do you use for a rake and baler? How much hay do you cut? Feeding cattle, horses? I want the full report!

Setting in tall cotton. I like that.
I am old hobby farmer. I only hay 20 acres and feed 4 head of my own and sell the rest. I have been doing it for 6 years. Each year I get a little better at it. I've learned the hard way.
I use a Esch tedder, NH side deliv. rake, and a NH baler (no kicker, just me and my wife).
My tractors are kubota m5-091, Ford 2600,and Massey 180.
