When new my BX2370 would stop quickly when a foot was picked up from the HST foot control. now with 42 hours on the tractor it is slower to stop. It does not creep once stopped. I assume this is not unusual since it was addressed in a Paul Short video. He stated in the video the thought he knew the cause but would not say due to liability.
Just wondering if others have the same issue and if so, what they or their dealer has found to be the cause

I'm just assuming there is a grease fitting in the floorboard for the pedal mechanism.

Have to flip a small part of the floor covering up to get at it.

If you haven't gotten it yet, I'd start there - maybe it's just not returning as quickly before because the linkage is getting a little sticky.

Good luck!!:)

I would like to thank you all very much for your replies. All great responses. I have to agree, another outstanding video from Paul.
Will let you know the outcome of the repair.
Thanks again, Chuck

I have the same problem with my bx2370! I have adjusted the HST return spring but the tractor still doesn't stop the way it should. The stops are inconsistent. Sometimes when backing up it will stop abruptly and other times it slowly coasts to a stop. Forward stops are more consistent but the tractor will slow normally initially then will take a long time to come to a stop. I've greased the zerk on the floor under the rubber flap but it didn't really help.
With the tractor off the pedal returns to neutral quiet fast. Should I adjust the spring some more?

After greasing and return spring adjustment per Hokie's service man. page and Paul's video the stopping issue was greatly improved. Reverse was most affected but forward stopping is now within Kabota's specs. I found removing the HST fan guard was a help in seeing and after backing off the bottom stop nut I was able to turn the top adjusting nut with my fingers. Also took Paul's advice and coated the rod and nuts with LPS3.
Again, thanks to all of you for your help and input. chuck

Kubota's had a problem with that thar nut jarring stops too! Even those green thing-ma-bobbers can jar your teeth out.

My BX was a little ugly at first, and you do learn not to take your foot completely off the pedal all at once when going fast.......but now mine does a little coasting, not bad however.

I bet I have not had my foot on the brake less than 10 minutes of the 170 hours on my machine!:D:) UNLESS I am near the wife's car, then I have my foot on the brake and my cojones in a barbed wire sling - one slip up and I'll feel it!:D;)

I was in the aircraft industry, toolmaker, and our saying was
Foolproof a tool and only a fool will use it.

I have to admit it I do have one of each color tractor.
B7100 and a JD 425. The JD has a 54 inch front blade with a rubber edge for plowing the courtyard which is paver brick. They don't get scuffed up then.

What's all this color/brand discrimination? No one was asking for information on parts, repairs, value...
Pretty soon my be politically incorrect to ask or show pictures of attachments not sold at Kubota Dealers?

I've got Case, Cat, Deutz, Massey, Kubota, Grasshopper. Even got a Lister Petter Diesel. I've even have a Kubota that is not painted a Kubota Color!

Blaspheme! Church of Kubota members will be there tomorrow to remove this machine from your care and find it a loving farm with room to run around. :D
