Hi Folks,

Just realised that my previous post said PTO instead of ROPS......DOOH:rolleyes:

So posting again...

'I have bought a B7000, obviously a grey model, but really clean with no oil leaks and no smoking.

I contacted the local Kubota dealer to enquire about a ROPS, and was told the model doesn't exist.

I asked if ROPS for B6000 or B7100 would fit, but was told they couldn't supply it.

I looked at Hercules ROPS based in Belgium and they want about £900 - mental money.

So I decided to get one made up and contacted a local steel fabrication business. Sorry mate - not allowed to make you one as they need to be CE marked.

So basically I'm stuffed. I have a great tractor that needs a rollover bar, but cannot get one, due to Kubota acting like a bunch of knuts and more interested in their profit margin than my safety, and local steel companies not able to make one due to the health and safety inspectors and their crap rules.

Does anyone have any pics of how these things are fixed to the axel? I'm going to get one made up and not tell the blacksmith what it's for.' :D

Thanks mateys.

Ya might want to ease over to the Bota place with your camera in handor cell phone and scab a few pics and then have your welder whip something up,,

But if your not cutting hills or anyplace where you might roll the old girl I wouldnt even worry about it,, I have cut a lot of hill sides with my old Cub before I found out I needed a ROPS,, Im just sayin

It may be different in the UK b ut here the B 6000 and the B 7100 are on the list for the ROPS program. Tax and installation are not included so I would go to the dealer and just order one for a B 7100 and not tell them what it's going on and also tell them that you are going to put it on yourself. They are priced at $148 US according to their list on the web site.

Here in the UK Kubota must be trying to reduce the population who keep old tractors running, they don't support a ROPS program;)
