Most of them are illegal immigrate from China that originally came into the country on work visas to help control rodent populations. After their visas expired, they stayed looking for a better life. It is easy to tell the native owls from the immigrants. Even though they came to your country for a better life, they are proud of their heritage. You will find a tattoo on them that says, "Made in China", to remind them of their origin.. . . Our plastic owl has been with us from the beginning, not sure where it came from.
