After stepping on the clutch, disengaging the pto, upon lifting my foot off the clutch the pto will engage again for a short period of time. I do not think this has ever done it before until now. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I believe that's quite common after using your PTO, it may take a a bit of time for the clutch plates to disengage after using the PTO.

When you push the clutch in are you disengaging the pto? If you are leaving it engaged the pto should come back on when you let the clutch out.

I am pushing the clutch in, disengaging the pto, then letting the clutch out. It continues as if it was still engaged for a short while.

Does it completely stop then start back up or does it just continue to spin for a short while before it comes to a complete stop?

It completely stops when I push the clutch in, I turn the pto lever off, let off the clutch and it starts back up again for a short while. It almost seems like there is a delay in the pto acknowledging the pto lever.

I'd there load on it? They often spin somewhat when unloaded. You could stop it easily with a 2x4 or something (be careful).

If your say it does that with a load on it like it spins up a mower again, then yes you have a problem contact the dealer.

If it only does it without a load, that's semi normal, it's just fluid driven and has no torque, so might not be an issue.

Service tech was here to fix the software glitch so I had him look at the pto issue. The pto cable was sticking. He sprayed some lube on it and it is good as new. Who knew it was something so small and simple.
