Mine where $500 for the bx25, if you live close enough to pick them up. If not then shipping gets them in the mid $600 range

Price went up to $629 + $166 for shipping. And those forks don't slide. If I'm going to spend $790 I might as well get the Land Pride ones from my local dealer for a little less $.

Thanks for the info - but still out of my price range.

Bumpkin, what's wrong with the clamp on forks? The BX doesn't have huge lifting capacity so the likelihood of you bending your bucket is minimal. Payne and others make clamp on forks for $250 and you're done. I used a set of home-made clamp on forks on my B9200 successfully for many years.

Nothing wrong with clamp-ons.

I just want to get the max lifting capacity. So going with a full pallet-fork setup means I can drop the weight of the bucket and move the load closer to the pivot points, which just about triples the lifting capacity.

But if I can't find a set in my price range, I'll go with the clamp on forks.
I'm not in a hurry, so I'll keep an eye out for a used set too.

Thanks for responding.

Bumpkin, in theory you're 100% correct.

http://www.palletforks.com/clamp-on...QTXDJjnzX2JvEDXOyyeh6pWFuF75CSftRMaAmgc8P8HAQ

In practice, the clamp on forks only add about 100# to your machine. You will not find pin on or QA forks that are that light. Most of the units are in the 250-300# range, right back up close to where your bucket+ clamp on forks are, give or take a few lbs.

As far as the distance from the pin, you're 100% right...however I have lifted over 900lbs with my BF350 loader (770lbs rated from Kubota) with FORKS on my bucket. I was never limited by my hydraulics, only by the counterweight/tractor weight. With a good counterweight, I have been limited by my front tires going flat, even at max PSI.

Not trying to talk you into the clamp on if you're able to find the pin on forks in your price range....just pointing out that you can do 95% of what you'll need to do with clamp ons. If you can't lift something with your BX, you need a bigger tractor, not different forks, JMO.
