My 1994 B7100 HST w/ front end loader got water in the hydraulics at some point. I currently live out of state due to the military but during my last visit I attempted a full de-watering by removing all hydraulic lines, draining the trans at the lowest point, and manually (moving by hand) all of the hydraulic parts to drain all oil/water out of the system. I put the Kubota oil in and of course, not all of the water was out and I ruptured another cracking hose (it looked good, replaced all of them now). My question is ultimately how to remove all of the water from the system? Secondly, obviously water in the system isn't good for it but is there any major concerns about rust, etc. from it?

Search fast transmission flush for a method of direct flushing (out of pail) to get water out os system. Be sure you know how to drain all low points in system. My tractor has drains on the rear wheel drive system that drain an extra gallon or so

Follow on question. Would it be better to unhook the FEL and do that separately or to keep it hooked up and cycle it during the process?

No idea about that really. You only get a minute or two before the 5 gallons is gone. Is you fel on a separate pump.?

Pretty sure it is all off of the same pump. I guess I was thinking that if I take the fel off and hand actuate everything I could get most of it out that way and the five gallons can go to ensuring that the tractor itself is good to go.
