Wondering if anyone can tell me what this little red object is. It sits behind the upper link on my 3 pt hitch. BX25D

If it's hooked into the hyd system, it might be a pressure release valve for when you connect a hose, to the port, I see, on the left...

That is the VENT for the Hydraulics / Transmission on the BX series. Try your best to keep it clean, as dirt and dust MAY cause it to become plugged. I personally have not had this happen, but others may have. I keep mine clean every time I hose off the tractor after use.

Hey guys, thanks for the information, I will now be able to sleep tonight. No, but really every time I pulled the upper link off and saw it, I have wondered what it was. Its great to find a good supportive forum to support my newest purchase.
That there is yer reset button. When machine gets old an dirty lookin you press it and it gets restored back to new. Only works one time. Bet you pressed it didnt you?
Guess its as good a place as any for a case vent, not likely to see much dirt there. Easy enough to see if its dirty.

tooljunkie,,, that's for another type of tractor,, this one is the ejection button, hope you don't have a steel canopy(G). (Some much knowledge and so much BS,).
