Hi all - new guy here with a used B6200 HST 4x4. I bought this tractor recently and it has a tiller and brush hog, but I'm looking for a FEL. I found a B6100 with FEL locally for $2200, but the motor smokes and it's lacking the front axle. A new aftermarket loader is going to set me back at least $3k. I'm thinking I can put the loader on my B62 and rebuild the B61 next year. Does this make economic sense?

Thanks for your time -
Mike

Mike,

the bottom line is .....if YOU have the time and energy - and do it yourself, then it is a great deal. I would look at the loader first - will it bolt on without any major modifications?

If so - then you have bought a loader for 2.2K and now have a engine that needs some tlc and other "spare" parts - if applicable. :)

The FEL is a 1640A which fits my tractor so I'm leaning towards buying it. I would do the work myself. I've worked on engines before and "other" grandpa is a mechanic by trade. It won't hurt to look at it at least - thanks for the nudge.
