I was going to use Kubota antifreeze to service coolant in my MX5100 but can't find it in my area. What would you, do you use? Thanks

I use any name brand (Prestone, Peak, etc.), and mix 50% if full strength.
I tend to stay away from off-branded stuff, but that's just me.

Just make sure its good for heavy duty service. Diesel coolant needs an additive for anti-foaming.

What happens with non diesel antifreeze is the impact from combustion creates a vapor bubble in the water jacket where walls are the thinnest,making a hotspot. Almost like cavitation.
This creates erosion and eventually burns a hole through cylinder wall,mostly with sleeved engines.
If i recall correctly iodine was used at one time to prevent this.

Tractor Supply has an antifreeze that has an additive in it for diesel engines. I think it's "Fleet Charge".
Yep, just looked it up. It's made by Peak and meets alot of diesel manufacture specs. Looks like some good stuff.

I'm switching all my stuff over to Peak Final Charge Global. I emailed Peak for some info and got this reply:
Thank you for your email.
Final Charge can be used in any diesel or gasoline engines, regardless of
it is a solid bore block or a block with wet sleeve liners.
It provides 1,000,000 miles (8 years, 20,000 hours) of use before it should
be changed.
Test strips can be ordered by sending an email to contact@peakhd.com ,
using part number FXATK5 for just the test strips and FXATK6 for the
maintenance test kit.

Just to add to the Peak info.......if you use the Final Charge Global, it does not require a flush. It is compatible with all convention and ELC coolants, and as long as you have 75% dilution it gives the same results and life as 100%.
One of the reasons I switched all my engines over to it. I didn't have to do any complicated flushes.

What year is your F-350 mikes1165? Is it a diesel?
That gold coloured Motorcraft coolant is one of the biggest killers to the Powerstroke. That's what plugs the oil and EGR coolers and causes the head gasket issues.
That stuff was the first thing I flushed out of mine after mine failed.

Mine's a 2000 model with the 7.3. I've already changed one of my 7.3's ( F250) to the red 300,000 mi antifreeze. the 350 still has the green stuff with the additive in it. Problem with the red stuff is you have to do a complete drain and flush.

Oh OK. That's good. My 07 6.0 Liter had that Motorcraft gold coloured coolant from factory. It plugs the coolers over time which causes the flash boils, then the cooler pops and there goes the head gaskets.
Keep your 7.3's forever because they were the best ever. Even the new 6.7's are nightmares.
Peak says the Final Charge Global will mix with anything. They just say make sure you have 70% of it to get full protection.
