Tow/ tie down hooks

Added tow hooks on front and back to pull with and to run chain around to tie tractor on a trailer.

Slip hooks are not legal or safe to tie a tractor to a trailer.

Party Pooper! Just kidding thanks for the info. Went to the DOT website and looked at the regs for tying down vehicles. Alabama follows fed regs. Under 10'000lbs 2 chains are acceptable but must attach to tractor at designed points. over 10000lbs needs 4 chains plus chain for buckets etc. Hadn't thought about it but will use better method.

I agree with NIW, especially on the one that's turned down, a little slack in the chain/strap and it will slip right off of the hook.

Kenny said it well - and I was always taught when securing large machines, gravity is your enemy - those "hooks" on the end of straps should always be in a situation where if they somehow loosen - that gravity will hold it on the rail that it is binding to. If you ever see a lowes truck with tie down straps you will get the picture.

also - get a cheap attachment for both hooks -

Instead of using a hook attached to the draw bar use a shackle similar to the one below. Run your chain through it and attach it to the end of your draw bar.

Already looked at it and decided to use 2 shackles on the rear put in holes right above the linkarm turnbuckles. and on the front there are marks on the front axle where Kubota had wrapped a chain around it to haul it so I'll do the same. Should be plenty secure.
