First time Kubota owner and first time forum user (sorry for my inexperience).

Purchased a BX2230 with 500 hours on it in June after 21 years of fighting with the old 'Big Box' lawn mower. I had no idea how much I would enjoy using it and creating attachments. Instead of dreading yard work I now look for more.

I work in a metal fabrication shop so I have access to LASER's, press brakes, welders, powder coating, etc. We built an angle iron frame and completed the 'carry all' with plywood. The rear blade was designed from scratch and built in our shop (except for the hardened scraper, purchased from Rural King store).

What a great site and great people to learn from!

Welcome to the forum!
If you want to rub elbows with a fellow fabricator, or get inspired, be sure to search out posts from Wildfire. You can also look him up on youtube, under Paul Short. The man is a very gifted individual, and a fine person.

Those are some nice looking implements! Great work!

Welcome to the forum, KRiT! Looks like you're situated to provide a never-ending stream of "inventions".

Please do follow the guru hodge's suggestion to ckeck out YouBoob vids of Paul Short, and search for his Wildfire posts on OTT; then get fired up and add your contributions to the wealth of knowledge.

Thanks for the compliments.

ShaunRH - The hinges allow the sides to drop and I can store the unit under a bench to save space. There are also 4 casters mounted to the underside to roll on the garage floor.

Here I thought it was to act as a ramp to roll up a dolly or something onto the unit...
