As someone who had grits for breakfast this morning, I am thinking that is a waste of good grits!

Never tried grits! Would be willing to give it a go, just not something we have around this part of the world.

They appear to be used for evil in some parts? Lol

I love cornbread with my chili. I make a mean set of biscuits and gravy. Not a fan of the catfish, wabbit, or deknuckling pigs, however, fan of other pig parts. Grits don't bug me, okra isn't all that tasty nor is hominy.

So, I guess I'm only so much southern.

grits is the fruit of the land. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. There’s grits-kabobs, grits creole, grits gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There’s pineapple grits, lemon grits, coconut grits, pepper grits, grits soup, grits stew, grits salad, grits and potatoes, grits burger, grits sandwich. That, that’s about it.

Damn, I've led a sheltered life- I thought there was just plain, white, lumpy, gritty grits.

corn bread was a staple growing up and have tried all those other things.

Not a real big fan of that white gravy you all put on everything!

Grew up on a mixed farm and we butchered all of our own livestock so we used up everything, there is only so many t bones and chops in an animal.

Head cheese , knuckles etc was always there. Not sure I really liked it but I was raised to shut up and eat it or your gonna starve!
