Hi all, I'm new to this forum. Sorry to ask this question I know its been asked several times before...BUT I have tried all of the suggestions ie...changed the fuel, new fuel filters, drain the tank, clean the fuel lines etc. it hasn't helped. I have almost 1000 hrs on my BX24. The problem are: It will turn over, if it barley start's it wont run very long once the key is let go of, it runs rough and dies. I have had many, many problems with my little guy, but all have been easy to over come. This one has me stumped! I'm thinking it might be Glow plugs but I need some help please???

Thank you for your time.

Have you.......

unhooked the fuel line past the pump and turned the key? Should shoot fluid a good bit......

Once you replaced all the good stuff - did you back off the bleed bolt and bleed the lines of air?

Have you taken a injector out and see if it squirts a good pattern......

coullllddd be injector pump......someone else will come along and run you a list of things to check ..........

As wolfman said, fuel cutoff solenoid. Connecting a test light will tell you if it is activating, theres also a chance its not getting enough voltage to pull it open properly. Voltmeter would be necessary to determine that.

If battery voltage low not enough amperage to pull fuel shutdown solenoid out to allow proper fuel flow to pump

The stop solenoid quit working last night...no "thunk" when I turned the key on/off. I'll purchase a new one tonight and install it and see how it goes.

thank you all for your responses.

I'll keep "plowing" away!

Any one know where I can get a new crate engine? been looking around and can't find one. Dealer want's only $5,500 to replace it for me.
