Just devils advocate resond to "No excuse". something to mull over next time one wants to throw that "no excuse" saying out there..... It is a nice sounding saying but.. in reality it does not hold water.Oh? Im sorry, we didnt know what it was. Bet thats as far as it goes. Ignorance is no excuse.
Less freedom. The couple in Seattle who refused to bake a cake for the homosexual union not only have been fined out of existence, they are now slapped with a gag order where they can not speak to their own defense. Goodbye freedom of religion and freedom of speech. The question is are we headed toward more freedom or less?
Does a campaign against the Stars and Bars add to freedom and free discussion or restrict it?
It's greatly in the way that you perceive the future. The LGBT community hails the recent SCOTUS ruling as a victory, but are they willing to pay the price that moving from a traditional cultural view of marriage to a 'consent' view will bring? Just wait, the other shoe hasn't hit the floor yet. It's the same with the flag argument.
I honestly don't care if someone is LGBT, racist, or a hate monger. That is them, it is not me. I am not offended by them and even if I was, that is their right to be like that. To offend me means that their speech has meaning, and that is the power of words. It also means that I'm not entirely comfortable with my own position in whatever area they have offended me and I need to work on my own mental understanding of the area until I'm entirely comfortable... then it's impossible to offend me.
So, really what the entire debate about is people with weak self image or understanding of an issue trying to silence others that hold opinions that don't match with their own. That's about as Anti-American as you can possibly get.
Yeah I can see why you guys wouldn't want to claim himBernard "Bernie" Sanders is an American politician and the junior United States Senator from Vermont, not Maine!
But I agree with the rest.

My senior year of high school, I went to kansas city missouri for an ffa convention with 8 other people. Our jackets clearly said we were from vermont. I got asked specifically over 30 times what part of maine I was from. Multiply that by 8 other people...... and you can pretty much guess what we were thinking A hole lot of folks needed to learn there states I don't claim Bernie eitherOlthumpa,
Sorry. From way over here on the map your side of the map is one big blue blur.
I stand corrected!
Heard it on the radio, they made it out to sound worse then it was.Do you have a copy of that piece or what paper it came from?
Back when checks were popular, a friend stopped by wally world to get some new tires on his car. Went wandering around the store, bought a few things in the electronics section. Wrote out a check with the pen they had on the counter. Stuck the pen in his shirt pocket out of habit, and didn't realize he did it. and then walked outside to wait for his car. Security pounced on him as soon as he left the building and he was charged with shoplifting the pen The pen on the counter was actually from the holiday inn, and didn't even belong to the store. If it had been my ring, I'd have prolly done something stupid, Like getting them to show me the ring, then say YOINK, grab it and run out the door. Are they gonna chase me down and arrest me for taking what I paid for. Lawsuit time...
