First off,,the cast is GONE YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH,,,,,,,, ok now down to it,, the XYL told me the mower isnt cutting right,,ok,, so what isnt cutting right mean??? A dumb guy question right, you know its leaving grass,,hmmm that narrows it down some,, like how? down the middle,,ok,, so with my newly freed arm I pull out the ramps run little O up and crawl under,, I mean what else can it be but a loose blade,, yup the middle blade is loose, get a socket and tighten it up,,no torque wrench so I have to gage it,, BUT the blade still turns rather freely.. So whats the trick to get it tight???? What did I miss? I have both washers and the lock washer and the bolt,, I meant it aint rocket sicence,,,
And the blades need sharpend too, so does anybody know some place I can get a set of blades for a RCK 60B-23 thats not going to cost me a truck payment?

Yeah ALL my blades come from Agri and they hold up just as well if not a little better then factory. Agri sells them so cheap because they usually buy and sell in bulk. I happen to be lucky enough to have a store about 30 minutes down the road, so I'll buy 2 sets of blades for each mower at a time.

But its kinda one of those things you take only the amout of money you need and maybe a lil extra for lunch cause if you go in with a ton of money your guarenteed to come home BROKE.

I know what you mean. The blades listed for my finish mower are $50 cheaper per set than what I paid for the last set I bought. I'll try a set of those the next time I buy any. Thanks for the tip on that Eric.

Check washers make sure their on right also when a lot of people sharpen blades they turn it a little at the end and that makes the blades get a little shorter each time they are sharpened. Always keep blades straight and balance them when sharpening. People have a tendency to always turn it at the very end or tip thats a big no no .I have had to straighten out a lot of blades over years when people do that if real bad you may need to replace.handy

Some washers are directional. They may be tapered on one side and not the other or maybe a hollowed out section that would allow it to be tightened up on one side more than the other.

If it has concave washers the indented side goes up the puched out side goes down. Please forgive my dumb ways of explaining things. Just dont over tighten the concave washer but you will notice the center of washer going down(or up from bottom) as you torque it down but dont tighten it down enough to make it flat thats a no no with that type. you may find thepart numbers on this site http://www.colemanequip.com/Kubota_Parts.asp#BX_Tractor_Parts handy

If you torque them to specs and your torque wrench is calibrated right you will not over torque the washers and they still will not be totally flat if they are better get torque wrench re calibrated. The washers may not be concave you can tell by looking. handy

Sounds to me that the bolt whole could me wallerd out and the bolt sits a little sloppy in the spindle. Might have to take a tap and die set and retap the spindle and put in a larger bolt. I've had that happen to me before and retaping the spindle fixed the problem.

OK I pulled the deck off,,,, to fat and old to try and get under it even on the ramps,, seems that the Belleville washer was in the wrong place,, I think.. but I don’t know cause my book is not very clear on what goes where.. Anyway there’s not much of a dish on the washer,,might get a new one just to see but 8 bucks for a freekin washer is a bit hard to take,, But its on now and tightened and back on and seems to be working ok. I do wish the books would spell things out a bit more,,,, yeah I know, Then where would mans, search for knowledge be.. Thanks much guys

glade you got it going if those washers are over tightened it ruins the spring action they are made for. Definately wont work if not turned right.handy
