Just wanted to say hello and thanks in advance for all the advice I'm going to get on here. First off, I know hardly anything about tractors nor was I looking or wanting one but I came across what I thought was a good deal. I found this beauty with flat tires, covered in leaves, grass clippings, dirt, missing parts (just cotter pins and rings), and an almost dead battery. With that being said, I pumped up the tires, charged the battery, figured out how to crank it, and way I went. The hour meter reads 750.3 but it is broken. So after doing a little research and tracking down the place it was bought from and serviced at, I think it probably has in the 850-900 hour range. Just guess. Now I'm trying to figure out the year of it and I have read it should be a mid 80's or even mid 90's (76328, B7100 HST 4wd). Anyone know for sure?
After changing the oil, fuel and oil filter, greasing the fittings, replacing the stabilizers, and cleaning her up, I have about $1050 in it. Hope that's is a good deal?
Now if it can tow my boat in and out of the garage (since my truck is to big too maneuver through my circular drive with the boat in tow) I'll be even happier with my purchase.
So I was wondering if a FEL can be attached to this and is it worth it? Any other ideas/maintenance I should do to it?

BTW, the boat is a 21ft and dry weighs about 3400lbs. Can the rear attachment pick up the tongue weight? I'm taking a shot in the dark and guessing it is about 500-700 lbtongue weight. Thanks

The three point on it is good for about 400lbs, so you would be pushing it, you could try it, your not going to hurt it if it's too heavy, it just wont lift it.
You also might have to put some front weights on it to make up for the rear weight just to keep steering control.

A lot of people have a loader on that model and they work great for little jobs. That model came stock with a B1630C loader, but other models and makes will work too.

It's also a 1983 but that doesn't really mean a whole lot in tractors.
model and type mean more than anything else.

It has a place for a drawbar so the 3ph wouldn't come into play if using it. Like Wolfman said, weight on the front, like the FEL, would help a lot.

Yeah. It was sitting in a shed of a business just collecting dust for the past 3-4 years and I got to talking to a manager about whatever happened to the tractor I used to see. One thing lead to another, I made an offer, and now it's in my garage. Never thought much about owning a tractor and now I'm trying to find new things to do with it and what can I buy for it.

checking that serial number again.....what are the numbers that precede the serial number?

" Early model B7100 serial numbers began with "B7001", which is the Asian-market model designation."

AND look around the rear rims, the date of when the machine was built is on the rim too. The B7100 came and went, both having overlapping serial numbers.

It has the 6 lug front wheels which means it is the newer series of b7100. It was built in the 1990s.

I cannot find any more numbers before those, 76328. The tags have been washed, rubbed, or just worn off. I got those numbers off the side of the tractor under the seat area. I haven't been on the tractor much the last few days since I nursing an injury but hopefully I can crawl under it soon and look at the rear rims.
I know the year a tractor was made does not mean as much as a car, but I'm just curious. I am going to go to my local dealer soon and see if they will give all the paperwork they have on it and possibly when it was sold . So far I just know the last few times it was serviced and approximately how much the tractor was used after that.
Now to find a box scraper and new hour meter!

That 76328 is probably the serial number. Mine is 65365, but I still don't know the exact year. The dealer service dept. will give you a range of production.
