I'm still pretty new at all this, so let me know if I'm approaching this the wrong way:
I've been looking a lot at, and strongly considering purchasing a landscape rake for use around our 10 acres (big yards, some brush and rocks, a 300' gravel driveway, some light leveling and hole-filling). My questions are as follows:
What sizes should I be looking for? Best as I can tell, the problem wouldn't be so much whether the 3ph will pick a heavier rake up, but more having enough tractor weight/power to pull the rake effectively. I know I won't be plowing with it, but I want to be able to use it right. On the other hand, how small is too small? The rakes I'm looking at (ETA brand) range from 191lbs-419lbs, how much weight do I need to be effective? If my wheelbase is 60", would a 60" rake work, and where do I draw the line between manueverability and efficiency?
Sorry for all the questions, but I really trust all the wisdom on this site, so I know I can get some great advice.
Thanks!
