Just bought used (122hrs) 2010 B3200. Used it for the 2nd time yesterday and hydraulics are partially working. The bucket will only go as high as the hood. It does rotate. The back hoe does not work.

Any suggestions?

Do you have manuals? The OM (Operator's Manual) would help, and the WSM (WorkShop Manual) will likely be critical. As well, manuals for the loader and BH will be invaluable.

KubotaBooks is a great resource for manuals (and is free); they may have your FEL and/or BH (they don't list a B3200). I'm pretty sure Messick's will have them, at a little lower price than Kubota dealers.

I'm only somewhat knowledgeable about hydraulics so I'll offer a couple of suggestions that may help you until the gurus chime in with the straight skinny.

Have you checked the fluid level of your FEL? It sounds like your tank isn't full enough to fully extend the pistons.

BHs have a separate source of fluid from FELs; in some cases, a separate reservoir and in others they share the transmission fluid. Your B3200 OM might tell you; your BH OM certainly would. (And many of the gurus here will, as well. :D)

Good luck with your new toy, and keep us updated!

Make sure any quick couplers are locked on . I have seen this many times and tractor hydraulics will not function if it cant complete the circuit. Dave

What does your fluid look like, milky or foam looking?

Does the BH have lines that hook to the tractor or does it have a PTO mounted pump?

Check your 3ph lift control on the right side. Make sure it is in the full open position. All the way forward.
With your backhoe installed, that affects the way your hydraulics operate if the lift control is not all the way open.:)

beckmurph, isn't that specific to the integral BH, not the unit with hydraulics driven by the PTO, or do they all (both) require the 3PH valve to be open?

It is specific to the BH77. I guessed that since he had a B3200, that it was a BH77 on his tractor.
