Newbe with a L2250

I just bought a L2250, and no nothing about it. I got it at a very good price, (I thought), and the next day it will just barely move. It can't pull the box blade at all. I have looked on line for any information on this tractor, and am now more confused that when I started. When I bought it, I was told it was an L2250. Now after searching on line I find that it might be an L2250DL. How or what is the difference between these two tractors. I'm pretty sure that I am going to have to replace the clutch, but there are way to many posts about the 2250, 2250D, split clutch, wet clutch, dry clutch. I'm lost, and in need of a lot of information before I start repairs.

What I do know:

Four wheel drive
Loader BF400G
From the side of the transmission case: L2250D-54282

I can find no other markings/stickers/plates etc..

Kubota's website indicates a prior model of L2250DT/T which I know from other research indicates a MFWD (4wd) version. Perhaps the "DL" means MFWD with Loader?

At any rate are all fluid levels full?

Actually, I have been to and put in my favorites "Kubota L2250" folder about 15+ sites so far, and those two are just a couple that I have. I checked the fluids, and they look ok, (I guess). Like I said, I'm a new (old) tractor owner and have never dealt with one before. I have wrenched a few nuts and bolts in my 71 years, but this is something entirely new to me, and I don't want to kill myself or screw any thing up anymore than it already is.

The L2250 only came in 2 versions, the L2250 2wd, and the L2250DT, so no worries on WET,GST,HST or any others.

Those tractors also came with either the dual stage and single stage clutch, dual stage is live PTO, single is not.
It's possible that you just need to adjust the clutch or clutch linkage before diving into a full clutch job.
First thing to do is to get the WSM (Work Shop Manual) for your tractor, it will walk you through all the needed steps and procedures.
It's not cheap but well worth the money! And sorry, there is not a free download of that manual available.

Well, I called the Kubota dealer near me and it looks like I have a dual clutch tractor. Said he could come and get it for $200 and put in all new parts for around $2200. Being the kind of person that doesn't really like to have someone else fix my stuff, (and really cheap), I got on line again and did a search on how to adjust the clutch linkage for a duel clutch setup. Printed out the instructions, crawled under the tractor and started wrenching. I guess I did everything right, because this little tractor hauls butt with lots of torque in both high and low speeds, two or four wheel drive.

Now I just have to learn how to use the damn thing.

Those l2250's are great tractors for there size. Dads had one for over twenty years. I can say from experience that, that tractor has been through hell and back. You will be very happy and surprised as to what that tractor will handle
