Never seen a resource like that. Why wouldn't you just measure your hoses?

I'm very curious why you would want a set of hoses - does it appear they are all about to fail?

You might be able to get a list from your dealer but the cost of having a extra set of lines made would get in your pocket pretty deep.

Lines don't last forever but in most cases they will last for years and give you trouble free service. I had one blow on my dozer this week but it was a factory installed line on a 59 model machine. We've had it on the farm as long as I can remember and to my knowledge it's the first line that has ever been replaced.

I guess what I'm trying to say is unless it's a line that gives you problems on a regular basis I would just repair as they blow. They will age in storage whether they are in use or not.

Hoses do age. That being said, if its put away when not in use and not trailered in road salt conditions 15 years is not out of the question. Hose that flex less last longer. Of course the hoses in the areas that are prone to snagging is anybodys guess.

Regular inspection. Once old age gets to them its time to replace them all.

thanks guys, sounds like im jumpin the gun on this hose idea of mine! I didn't realize they last so long. I use this tractor up north a lot in the middle of a bush so I wanted to be prepared. maybe I will make an extra one to get me by if one should blow. thanks for the input

Oaksey, having a spare on hand when a hose fails is a good idea. However, as several folk have advised, they give a *lot* of advance notice when near the end of their useful life. On the other hand, as Tooljunkie mentioned, it sometimes happens that we get in an awkward position and snag one, perhaps catastrophically.

Since you have so many different sizes to consider, you might choose to duplicate the longest one that seems most vulnerable to accidental damage. Perhaps it might happen that if you did have a failure on one other than your 'backup', the fittings and pressure rating would be the same, and you could somehow use the long one until the dog sled could get to you with a replacement. However, if it were me, I'd just give thanks for the time off, and enjoy nature. (Oh, I wasn't remembering the black flies...)

I've only split one hose, and it turned out to be no big deal at all. Took the old one down to the dealer and they made me a new one while I waited and the cost was very reasonable. Back up and running in a couple hours.

Re-useable hose fittings work in a pinch, but not the easiest to install on a hose. Having 1/2 the vulnerable hoses on hand will save you a trip to nearest hose supplier. Theres two each of same size hoses and possibly four each.
Im guessing three hoses would get you by.

You can get a set of reusable hose ends and a section of hose and have that around for an emergency.
