I just scored a set of 2" aluminum wheel spacers on eBay for substantially less than the going price, and installed them last night. I haven't had a chance to use the tractor yet, but visually, I can't believe the difeerence it makes in the back of the tractor. It makes the whole tractor look beefier!

You will feel it in the seat of your pants as soon as you move on the tractor.....
things will be different when you get sideways the least little bit!:)

Best little mod upgrade you can do for your tractor.

You can really tell the difference if you are out in the field working.

Now the second best thing is to have the rear tires filled , and she will really feel rock solid.

I don't have the name of the seller any longer, looks like I erased it when I was cleaning up my purchase history file, but according to the information given, it was a private user that bought them and then couldn't use them with some type of wheel weights he was using. They were advertised for the BX, and fit perfectly.

Mine look just like that, so that's probably what they are. There was no paperwork with them. I have a 60"MMM, so no problem with my 2" spacers. Couldn't you just cut off the rear guide wheels on the deck and move them outboard anyway?

They do look good... :)

I've just received a set of 3" spacers from BroTek that will be going onto the BX as soon as my dicky back clears up a bit. I'm really looking forward to seeing the impact of the spacers on the tractor's feel.

Pete, if you have been sitting on the side of hills and you have had the ol "butt pucker syndrome" then that will go away .....at least some!!!:D:)

They will make a noticeable difference in the feel of the tractor!

I understand the reason for spacers but does the extra width also sling mud on the driver and if so has anyone seen fender extenders for the BX.

Cstone -

Never had a problem with mud being thrown, 99% of the time, I am in low gear and crawling through the mud and muck. I would imagine on a wet surface, say on wet asphalt - in high gear it might throw some water back up, but I have not experienced that.:)

Well you guys win, I didn't think wheel spacers were needed on a BX, but at least I didn't say so. I installed 2" rear wheel spacers today and everything you have been saying is right on. Two things convinced me to try the spacers; I got tired of the side to side bouncing around on my rough ground and the continued insistence of nearly everyone at OTT on how well they work. Nearly everyone was right they were well worth the investment and easier to install then I imagined (about the same as my truck wheels). I just don't plan on ever taking off loaded wheels that are bigger then BX wheels.

How do you guys feel about spacers on the front? Are the hub assemblies HD enough?

I think all the other posts in this thread were about BX tractors. I wouldn't put front spacers on a BX with a fel. I can't comment on your B and L tractors.

I have a BX25 that has had wheel spacers on for two years , front and back. I work it really hard , with over two hundred hours on it. I do logging in the woods with it with no ill effects. She gives me a really good feeling when going over rough ground. I do have my rear tires filled with -20 wind shield washer fluid. So do what you are comfortable with for your tractor.

Has anyone purchased standard 5x4.5 wheel spacer for a Jeep or Ford and installed on the back of the BX? Many of them can be purchased for around $50, are CNC out of solid Aluminum like the Bro-Tek, can be found hub-centric, have 1/2"x20 wheel studs. Just curious, at a quarter the price it is tempting.

What width spacers are you running?
