I have a 7200 with about 800 hours that I bought 10 years ago with about 600 hours. The loader has always seemed weak to me. It has gotten to the point that it will barely lift a half bucket of moist, not soaked, dirt. Full throttle needed too. I tested pressure off the distribution block next to pump so I wouldn't be using anything like hoses to lifter or gannon and got 500psi off idle and could get 700 at full throttle. I'm assuming this should be 1700 to 2500 psi and am wondering id the pump is rebuild able or to just replace it. The HST seems to be fine if that matters. Also after running an hour or so the 3 point Gannon won't even lift without a tug from my arm. The screen on the back on the side of the reservoir is clean. Could I put a portion of thicker hydraulic fluid in ? Replace all hydraulic fluid? Or does it sound like the pump just needs replacing? What RPM would normally lift an empty bucket to full position up? Seems like you shouldn't have to ream a motor to get this thing to work. Thanks for any help.

Yes, your pressure is way low. It should be around 2200 - 2500 psi.
Lets look at the simple stuff first, with only 800 hrs the hyd pump shouldn't be worn out under normal situations.

I bought it used from my local Kubota dealer and I assumed it was up to snuff then. I run factory hydraulic fluid from Kubota. Maybe I should just change it for a start. Has always been clean. No water "milk". I know brake fluid in cars goes bad after awhile. Looses its ability to compress.

Sometimes the rubber boot on the suction line going to the pump will crack, not leak but allow the pump to suck air. May be worth your while to inspect it.
If your hydraulic system is driven from the b7200 hydraulic pump (located or right side of engine) then you need to check the relief valve (located at hydraulic three point lift lever)

Where should I put the pressure gauge Wolfman? I put it on the block coming out on the side by the pump. Removed the line going to the loader.
I plan on moving to Sagle by the way. Been looking for land there for a couple of years.

You can tee into anywhere, but do not dead head the system by not giving it a path through the rest of the systems loop, the pressure relief and return are the last component in a Kubota hydraulic system.
I would tee into the line that feeds from the pump to the loader valve.
I like the Sagle area too, I'm north of Sandpoint about 20 miles (Elmira Area).
Look quickly, we've had an extremely mild winter and all the frost and snow is gone and land access and sales are going strong.
Also land prices are going up fast, construction is really on the rise again too.

I had a similar situation after working on the hydraulics on mine and found that I had accidentally knocked the directional valve out of position a bit on the top of the block that the loader hoses attach to. I believe that the pin should point away from the tractor towards the loader hoses but Wolfman can probably verify that. That would seem to be the logical position if the block has hoses attached. Don't have my tractor here to have a look at.
Is the pump rebuildable or should I just replace? If its rebuildable i would rather just replace a few o rings, etc. And know they are good. I'm going to tee the system off before the hose to the loader valve next to the motor. Seems like an out of the way place and strange that from the factory they didn't put a fitting somewhere to screw a tester to. I have an I&T manual that has terrible photos so I guess I will try to find a factory one. Any suggestions?
Being an HST does it need 3.6 gallons of hydraulic fluid? That's what my manual says. What's a good/ affordable brand ?

The pump should be rebuildable, you can buy the parts, but if the case is excessively worn then you're better of replacing.
Low pressure does not always mean its got a bad pump could be that the pressure regulator is failing.
I'm not 100% sure on the hydraulic capacity of your model, but yes that sounds about right.
If you can find it, a cheaper and good alternative is Mystik JT-5 it's a UDT compliant fluid and I've had great success with it.
