I'm interested in a diagram of the linkage from the Stop Knob to the "Stop Lever" that is on the lower right side of the engine. There is long rod extending from the knob under the left cowling that pulls back a lever mounted on the engine with a wide V limiting the travel of the lever - to the rear is stamped STOP. This engine mounted lever has a hole at the top - that I assume, is engaged by the rod.
My problem is the device on the rod that engages the engine mounted lever is missing. The rod has a "bottle cap" shaped washer welded on the rod. There is nothing on the rod that would engage the hole of the stop level. I assume that this piece via wear has broken off and fell out.
I have a shop manual for the L3000 but there is nothing that shows this Stop Device in detail.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
