Have the valve stem down at 6 o'clock and let some air out. It will be liquid if it is filled.

That's the first step, second step is to rotate tire back to 12:00 and clear valve of whatever came out at 6:00.

How do you know if you have ballast in your tires?

IF you do, as was described, clear the valve - and you can find out how "full" by either a "sweat" line or by turning the tire and checking the valve again. If "full" you should be right at the top of the rim, so about 2 or 10 o'clock

I would say yes.............go to walmart or tractor supply - they had windshield washer fluid for $2 gallon. The valve will cost you less than $10 - you are going to need about 20 gallons per tire, sounds like a lot of money , but it is the best insurance you will ever have!!! you will be adding about 320lbs total. The difference is ....well, you will see! :)

Thanks 85 Hokie. When you say "the valve" that's to put the fluid in correct? What about a pump? Sorry im brand new to this and know nothing!

I pulled a link of this site on how to do it and need to re-read it to make sure im clear on it.
