I have a B7100 HST 4x4 w/ only 600 hours, and a brand new Bush Hog FEL that I just installed a few months ago. This tractor is about as close to perfect as a used tractor can get. The only thing it seems it doesn't have is power steering. I was thinking I had seen that there were kits available. Had a few questions:

1- Has anyone done this?

2- Is it worth it?

3- Where would I find a new/used kit?

Hi Tiger. I added power assist to my B7200. it ended up costing me about $600. Some one did one awhile ago and posted the process on here. Just do a search on power steering. Mine was kinda ugly. You can see that huge cylinder sticking out front of the tractor. Dusty

 That isn't the final position is it? (Said half seriously) ;) What was the end result, and does it really help in steering?

As long as you were not using the loader at the same time you could steer it with your baby finger at an idle. The only problem I had with it was you could have 3ph and pwr steering or loader and pwr steering. I could not get all three to work at the same time. I just put a splitter in and once you got used to it it was OK. No Slimthat was not the final position, I had the tractor apart doing the clutch. That cylinder was off a 50 or 60 hp tractor. A better way if you want to install your own would be off of an old combine, much smaller. There are kits out there as well. But if I can build it I don't buy it. No matter how ugly it ends up.:D Dusty
